We use state-of-the-art soil mapping technology to understand the variability across our fields. By precisely placing seed, fertilizer, and chemicals only where they are needed, we reduce input costs, minimize environmental impact, and maximize yield potential. Every acre is managed as an individual unit.
Water Stewardship
Water is our most precious resource on the southwest Kansas plains. We utilize variable-rate irrigation systems that apply water based on real-time soil moisture data and crop demand. By irrigating only what the crop needs, when it needs it, we conserve groundwater and reduce energy consumption.
Soil Health
Healthy soil is the foundation of a productive farm. We practice crop rotation, cover cropping, and reduced tillage to build organic matter, improve soil structure, and reduce erosion. Our soil management program is designed to leave the land in better condition than we found it.
Responsible Input Management
We work closely with certified crop advisors to develop agronomic plans that optimize the use of seed, fertilizer, and crop protection products. By applying the right product, at the right rate, at the right time and place, we protect the environment while maintaining the productivity our farm depends on.
Harvest Efficiency
Modern harvesting equipment allows us to capture more of what we grow with less waste and less fuel. We continually invest in equipment upgrades and operator training to ensure we harvest at peak efficiency, reducing losses and lowering our carbon footprint per bushel produced.
